Wooo!!! Thanks for taking photos Athena! Glad you managed to capture one of my many good sides.
Adam Del Re’s wonderful mini-comic about making mini-comics (and laying them out in In Design) was so useful in helping me get a booklet ready for this weekend’s Editor’s Day.
So many knowledgeable and helpful people in the Sequential Art Dept!
Awwwwwww„ shucks! Thanks Athena! Just glad I could be of some help.
A portrait of Jeff Smith, since “Bone” is very much stuck in my head at the moment.
Inked with brush, with about 5% digital-ness.
Page 7 of Oldtimer inked & ready! One of my favorite pages yet. With tremendous compliments to my writer, and good buddy, Zack Rosemberg.
Page 1 of Oldtimer inked! Written by the very talented, and my best bud, Zack Rosenberg (so you know it’s going to be good!). I’m pretty excited to finally see this coming to fruition!
@AdamDelRe: Beginning of a 5 hour ink that will likely take way more than 5 hours. Excited to ink roadrunners later.
Been absent from tumblr lately, so sorry for that.
Here’s a quick look at an inking study I’m doing for a class. All of this is done with a Windsor-Newton Sable #2 brush, and a Kuretake Sable 40 Brush Pen. I’ve never used the Windsor-Newton actual brush (or any actual brush, really) for inking, so this was great practice. And I had a lot of fun with it, so indefinitely see myself using the actual brush a lot more.
Here are some sketches from the story All in the Phamily by Adam Del Re; that bear is just so darn cute!
Yee-haw!!! Having loads of fun inking cowboys riding toads!
Well hello Mr. Bear. A redo of yesterday’s page, for an upcoming 8 page anthology. Stay tuned!
Inking bears with my new kuretake brush pen, and loving it!
A quick preview of my comic in the Playlist Anthology, based on “A Shine To It” by Laura Stevenson and The Cans! Take a look at my work and other’s by some greats friends and artists on Kickstarter.
Hello all of my friends! I’m a part of the PLAYLIST ANTHOLOGY. An amazing book of comics all using songs for inspiration. Myself and some incredibly fantastic artists are all getting published in this, and we’d all appreciate your help getting this project funded! Thanks so much!
A fixed page 3 for that sorry where cowboys ride giant cold blooded animals!
Rough pencils for page 3 of that age old story were two bandits steal a wagon of chocolate milk and then the sheriff rides his giant toad to stop them. Classic.
Page 2 pencils of cowboys riding lizards and snakes
Rough digital pencils for page 1 of a mini comic where cowboys ride giant lizards and toads.
